Man Attempts To Strangle Woman She Had Protective Order Against, Police Say A 21-year-old man was arrested after allegedly strangling a woman who had a protective order against him and for attacking another man. Benjamin Sumner of Milford was arrested around 9:30 p.m. Friday by Milford Police after trying to strangle the woman by grasping her around the neck with his hands, and then hitting a man inside the home with his fist, said the Milford Police. Poughkeepsie Woman Arrested For Violating Protective Order A Poughkeepsie woman was arrested for violating a protective order after police received a complaint from the victim. Karen A. Rendon, 23, was arrested on Tuesday, after Town of Poughkeepsie Police received notice from the victim that Rendon has come to her residence on Friday, June 22 while the order was in effect, said Capt. Kevin Faber. The investigating officer located Rendon on Tuesday and charged her with felony criminal contempt, he said. She was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $10,000 cash bond or $20,000 bond.
