Videos Show Cause Of Rt. 17 Tractor-Trailer Crash That Ejected Passenger, Rochelle Park PD Says
UPDATE: A rollover crash that ejected a passenger Friday morning on northbound Route 17 in Rochelle Park occurred when a tractor-trailer clipped the back of the sedan, surveillance video obtained by Daily Voice shows. Park Avenue Auto Group supplied the videos, first to police and then to Daily Voice. The 62-year-old tractor-trailer driver from Montgomery, N.Y. received three summonses -- for careless driving, tailgating and making an unsafe lane change, Rochelle Park Police Lt. Dean Pinto. Injuries Reported In Crash That Causes Merritt Closure
Injuries have been reported in a rollover crash that led to a car fire and the closure in both directions of the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield late Saturday afternoon. The southbound crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. near Exit 46 in front of the Fairfield rest area, state police said. Traffic was detoured through the rest area during the time the parkway was closed.
