Beluga Whale Dies At Mystic Aquarium In CT A third beluga whale from a Canadian amusement park has died at Connecticut's Mystic Aquarium after suffering from an incurable condition. The death of beloved beluga whale Kharabali was announced by New London County's Mystic Aquarium on Tuesday, Dec. 12. Scammers Posing As Highway Department Officials, Asking For Money In Hudson Valley Authorities in the Hudson Valley are warning residents to be aware of phone scammers who have been posing as highway department officials and asking for money or gift cards. The scam was reported in Putnam County by the Town of Carmel Highway Department, which said their main phone number ending in 7474 has been the target of a spoofing attack, Carmel Police announced on Friday, Dec. 8.
