State Trooper Impersonator Nabbed In Shippensburg, Police Say A man who impersonated a Pennsylvania state police trooper while threatening people has been arrested in Shippensburg, authorities say. Elmer Lawrence Ardinger, 60, was arrested on Monday, January 9, according to a release by the Shippensburg Police on Thursday. "Ardinger was upset over a misunderstanding. Ardinger called himself Trooper Ardinger and threatened to come to the victim's location and take care of things in his trooper vehicle," the police say. Ardinger was charged with impersonating a public servant and harassment, police say and court records confirm.

Five Children, Two Dogs Endangered By Parents, Newville Police Say Newville citizens tipped off police about child and animal abuse parents with "dangerous dogs" were doing, police say. After receiving the tips, the area police investigated 32-year-old Travis Richard Laughner and his 29-year-old wife Taryn B. Laughner resulting in their arrests on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Child Shot In Pittsburgh: Police A 14-year-old was found shot inside home in a Pittsburgh in the Beechview neighborhood on Wednesday, authorities say. Officers were called to a report of shots fired in the home located on Broadway Avenue on Jan., 11 around 12:10 a.m. The young teen was shot in the hip and taken to a hospital in stable condition, according to a release by Pittsburgh public safety later that morning No suspect has been identified. NyAsia Cooley-Humphrey was last seen at her Camp Hill home on Dec. 22, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Dog Stolen From Home In Enola: Police A dog was stolen from a home in Cumberland County, authorities announced on Tuesday , January 10. Enola Police Department, officers received a call about a missing dog on January 2 around 11:30 a.m. The victim told police that his dog was missing from his home, according to the release.
