And it's in part due to a luxury hotel set to replace three of the motels in Seaside Heights that haven't exactly been helping the family-friendly atmosphere. In a 6-0 vote last month, Seaside Heights council members approved the designation of a Boston-based redeveloper for the hotel, to be built on the Lincoln Avenue and Ocean Terrace lots where Dry Dock, Glendale, and Surfside motels currently stand. Metal Arrow Pierces Through Cat's Head In Lancaster County Town, Police Say Police are investigating after a cat was found with a metal arrow pierced through its head last week in Lancaster County, they said. Pequea Township police were called to a home on the 100 block of West Willow Road where a resident had found the cat on Thursday, July 25, local police said. ORCA was contacted and took the animal for treatment. Power Outage Update: Storm Leaves Hundreds Of NJ Residents In The Dark A storm system that swept through the region Saturday afternoon, Aug. 3 left hundreds of North Jersey residents without power. As of 5:40 p.m., about 950 PSE&G customers in Hackensack did not have power, its website shows. In Closter, 145 Orange & Rockland customers were in the dark. In West Milford, more than 500 residents did not have power. Most of those customers were JCP&L. The storms, which brought temps down to the high-70s, had subsided as of press time.

Orbital Fracture, 4-Inch Gash Suffered By Victim In Attack By Fellow Church-Goer: Englewood PD A 62-year-old woman was stabbed and beaten by a 36-year-old Hackensack woman she knew from church at her home in Englewood on Friday, Aug. 2, police said. Kaleema Dicks confronted the victim outside of her home around 3:35 p.m., pushed her way inside and began punching her in the face, Englewood Police Detective Lt. Fred Pulice said. Dicks then stabbed the victim in her back with a knife, the lieutenant said.  The victim suffered a broken orbital bone and a 4-inch laceration to her back. Penn State Pommel Horse Sensation Stephen Nedoroscik Wins Bronze — Again Stephen Nedoroscik has done it again. The Penn State alum who hails from Worcester, Massachusetts, nailed another pommel horse routine at Paris 2024, winning his second bronze medal. Nedoroscik, 25, shot to fame as the USA men's gymnastic team's official "pommel horse specialist," earning the team its first medal in 16 years. On Saturday, Aug. 3, Nedoroscik racked up 15.300 points on the pommel horse behind two-time world champ Rhys McClenaghan, of Ireland, who won the gold.

An employee at The Laundry Basket on Centre Street in Nutley confirmed to Daily Voice that the "Texas Hold 'Em" singer was in on Wednesday, July 31, shooting a commercial for Levi's. Last March, the pop star, currently in her country era, debuted her very-own song with the same name as the iconic jeans brand in her album "Cowboy Carter."  Well, except her song has two Is in the title — "Levii's Jeans" — and features Post Malone.
