Fallen, Stuck Horse Rescued By Quick-Thinking Firefighters In CT Thanks to quick action from firefighters, a fallen horse in Connecticut that had become stuck and unable to get up was saved. The incident happened in Hartford County on Tuesday, Sept. 5 around 10:20 a.m., when the Broad Brook Fire Department responded to a home in East Windsor where a horse had slipped and fallen, causing it to end up in a position where it was unable to get back on its feet. Man Attacks, Threatens Property Manager With Knife In Yorktown: Police A 71-year-old man faces charges after allegedly attacking the property manager of the Northern Westchester apartment complex where he lives and threatening them with a knife, police said. Top-Prize Winning Take-5 Ticket Sold At Buchanan Gas Station One lucky winner has found themselves thousands richer after buying a winning top-prize lottery ticket at a Northern Westchester gas station. The winning Take 5 ticket, worth $8,799, was sold for the Thursday, Sept. 7 evening drawing in Buchanan, New York Lottery announced.
