School Swatting Incidents Occurring Across NY, State Police Say Authorities are investigating numerous incidents of schools in New York state receiving swatting calls claiming there is an active shooter in the building, state police said. The threatening calls were received by schools on Thursday morning, March 30, and have all been found to be false, state police announced. Report Of Shots Fired Causes Horace Greeley HS To Lock Down In Chappaqua: Police A high school in Northern Westchester was placed on lockdown and inspected by authorities after a complaint of shots fired was reported, police said. The incident happened at 8 a.m. at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua when New Castle Police responded to an anonymous complaint of shots fired. City Demolishes 'Zombie Property' With Multiple Fire Incidents In Mount Vernon A city in Westchester is demolishing a "zombie property" that has been an eyesore and safety hazard for more than a decade, officials said. The property, located in Mount Vernon at 151 Union Ave., has been vacant since 2012, according to city officials. Shooting Leaves Person Dead: Suspect Caught In Meriden, Police Say A man faces numerous charges in connection with a shooting in New Haven County that left one victim dead and another injured, police said. $8M Fraud Scheme: Yonkers Man Billed Millions In False Transportation Claims A Westchester man will spend years in prison after billing more than $8 million in false transportation service claims as part of a multi-million-dollar Medicaid fraud scheme.
