Newark Thieves Lead NY Police Pursuit In Stolen Florham Park Range Rover: Authorities Two Newark man are in police custody after leading authorities in New York and Connecticut on a pursuit in a vehicle stolen out of Florham Park, law enforcement officials said. Man Threatens To Stab Salon Employee In Armonk A man with an active arrest warrant is charged with threatening a salon worker in Northern Westchester, police said. On Saturday, March 18, around 2:45 p.m., an employee of a salon located in Armonk at 495 Main St. (Route 125) told North Castle Police that her coworker's ex-boyfriend had threatened to harm her coworker. According to authorities, the man, who had an active arrest warrant, told the complainant's coworker that "today is going to be the day that he stabs her," and that he was in the area of the salon. Former Detective Sergeant From Somers Dies: 'Always There To Help' A former detective sergeant from Northern Westchester who was dedicated to helping people any way he could has died. Joseph Cindrich of Somers died on Thursday, March 16 at the age of 69, according to his obituary. Born in 1953, Cindrich began his policing career with the Rye Police Department in 1978, serving there for two years before then joining the New Castle Police Department in 1980. There, he stayed for nearly 20 years before retiring in 1998. Cindrich spent most of his career as a Detective Sergeant, his obituary said. Friends and family remember …

17 Hauls Of Waste Illegally Dumped By I-95, I-287 In Rye: Suspect At Large, Police Say Police are searching for whoever was responsible for illegally dumping numerous hauls of construction waste along highways in Westchester. The waste was discovered along Interstate 95 and Interstate 287 in the City of Rye on multiple days, including Thursday, Jan. 5; Tuesday, Jan. 24; and Saturday, March 18, according to state police.
