Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Suspect Nabbed After 30-Year-Old Long Island Man Shot, Killed During Confrontation A suspect has been caught after a fatal shooting on Long Island. The victim was shot following a confrontation that occurred in Mastic Beach in the parking lot of 373 Neighborhood Road at approximately 2 a.m. Saturday, May 20, Suffolk County Police said. Rounds Of Storms Bring Big Shift In Temperatures, Cool, Comfortable Weekend A strong cold front packed with scattered thunderstorms, some of which were severe, has led to a big change in temperatures. Saturday, June 3 will be mostly cloudy skies with a high temperature in the mid 60s, according to the National Weather Service. Strong, Gusty Storms Now Sweeping Through Region: Here's Latest Scattered thunderstorms, some severe, are moving across the region ahead of a strong cold front. Some of the storms, which began in the middle of the afternoon Friday, June 2, have been packed with heavy downpours, and gusty winds. Humpback Whale Carcass Found On Long Island Authorities are working to determine the cause of death of a humpback whale that was found on Long Island. At about 4 p.m. Thursday, June 1, the carcass of the whale floated into Shinnecock Bay in Southampton. Southampton Town Police officers and staff from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and Atlantic Marine Conservation Society then arrived on the scene. Sexual Predator Sting: Attorney Nabbed After Arranging To Meet Girl In Hudson Valley, DA Says An undercover investigation in the Hudson Valley has led to the arrest of a Long Island attorney who is accused of preying on a minor using online platforms.
