18-Year-Old Robs Customer At Gas Station On Long Island, Police Say An 18-year-old man is facing charges after police say he robbed a customer outside a Long Island gas station. The robbery happened at around 3:45 a.m. Saturday, July 29, in the Village of Quogue, at the Speedway gas station on Montauk Highway. Investigators determined that Cameron Depetris, of Quogue, forcibly stole cash from a 22-year-old man, according to Quogue Village Police. The victim was not injured during the ordeal. Crash Killing Tow Truck Driver: 'Extremely' Drunk Man Guilty In Deadly Capital Region Wreck After drinking an “excessive” amount of alcohol at an Applebee’s restaurant, Justin Rodriguez got behind the wheel of his pickup truck and - defying the pleas and warnings of concerned onlookers to stop - drove onto a highway in the region. Shortly afterward on Sept. 15, 2022, the 41-year-old struck tow truck operator Alex Bleickhardt as he helped a disabled vehicle in Saratoga County, on the shoulder of I-87 in Wilton. Joseph Johnson, age 33, of Wyandanch, pleaded guilty to first-degree rape in Suffolk County Court on Friday, July 28. According to prosecutors, Johnson admitted to breaking into the victim’s Wyandanch home on Sept. 19, 2020. He then raped the woman before stealing cash and fleeing. Man Rapes, Murders 3-Year-Old Girl At Capital Region Home, DA Says A man from the region is facing murder charges after allegedly raping and killing a 3-year-old girl. Robert Fisher, age 33, of Rensselaer, was indicted for second-degree murder and first-degree rape by a Rensselaer County grand jury on Friday, July 28. Shooting Injuring 8-Year-Old: Police Looking For These Cars In Drive-By At Long Island Home Police are working to identify two vehicles that were seen outside a Long Island home targeted in a drive-by shooting that injured a young child. The shooting happened at around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, in Medford, at a home located on Cedar Lane between West Lane and Barbara Lane. Unwelcome Guests: Couple Squats In, Damages Vacant Capital Region Home, Police Say A couple is facing charges after they were allegedly caught squatting in a vacant home in the region. Troopers in Schoharie County were called to a home on Route 7 in the town of Cobleskill on Sunday evening, July 23, for a report of trespassers.
