Alexandra McGuinness, age 42, of Albany, had last been seen Wednesday, June 28, in Albany, near Grove and Helderberg avenues, according to Albany Police. 16-Year-Old In Critical Condition After Shooting Near Capital Region Elementary School A teenager is fighting for his life after being shot near an elementary school in the region. The shooting in Rensselaer County happened shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday, July 13, in Troy, near 6th Avenue and Swift Street. According to Troy Police, two groups of people got into a fight and someone opened fire, intentionally striking a 16-year-old boy. The suspect then fled the scene. Double Homicide: Suspect Sought In Killings Of Husband, Wife In Capital Region Police are asking for the public's help after a married couple was found dead inside their home in the region. In Schenectady County, the bodies of Robert Guillaume, age 73, and Cathy Guillaume, age 65, were found Friday, July 7, inside a Rotterdam home on Fern Avenue, one block east of the Rotterdam Industrial Park. The discovery was made Wednesday afternoon, July 12, in Rensselaer County, along the Hudson River in Troy. Here's Percentage Of New Yorkers Worried About Becoming Crime Victims, New Poll Finds More than half of New Yorkers fear they may become a victim of a crime, a new Siena College poll finds. The poll, released Wednesday, July 12, found that 61 percent of state residents are either very (21 percent) or somewhat (40 percent) worried about becoming a crime victim. Researchers also found that 51 percent of New Yorkers have been worried about their safety, or their family’s safety, in public places. Columbia County resident Robert Coons, of the city of Hudson, was last seen at around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 6, near Columbia and North 3rd streets.
