Recent Cheltenham HS Grad Morgan F. Powell Dies Suddenly At 18 A Montgomery County high school community is mourning the loss of a recent graduate. Morgan Feona Powell, a 2021 graduate of Cheltenham High School, died suddenly in a car accident on Dec. 5, according to a GoFundMe page launched by a classmate. She was 18. Jersey City Man Wanted For Strangling GF Nabbed By US Marshals: Prosecutor After nearly two months on the run, a Jersey City man wanted for strangling his 27-year-old girlfriend was arrested Thursday, authorities said. Tyquan Baisden, 25, was nabbed by members of the U.S. Marshals Service shortly before 6:30 a.m. on Summerfield Avenue in Asbury Park, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. He was wanted on first-degree murder charges in connection with the killing of Diamond Davila of Jersey City on Oct. 19. Pottstown Man Straw Purchased, Illegally Resold 16 Firearms, DA Says A Pottstown man was arrested for straw purchasing and illegally reselling more than a dozen firearms over a period of six years, authorities said. Philly High School Senior Dies Of Covid-19 Complications Support is pouring in for the loved ones of a high school student in Philadelphia who died Monday after a battle with COVID-19. As of Wednesday, nearly $19,500 had been raised on a GoFundMe page for 17-year-old Alayna Thach, a senior at Olney Charter High School. Thach contracted pneumonia, and her lungs and heart collapsed along with the rest of her organs, resulting in severe brain damage, according to the page. Caln Police Seek Witnesses In Hit-Run Crash That Hospitalized 24-Year-Old Man Caln Township police are looking for anyone with information about a hit-and-run crash that happened on Monday and left one person hospitalized. DelCo Carjacker Accused Of Targeting Delivery Drivers Sought By FBI Federal and local authorities are on the hunt for a Delaware County carjacker who they say is targeting delivery drivers in the area. Joseph T. Makell, 22, of Darby is wanted on armed robbery charges after allegedly placing a pizza order on Nov. 9 and arranging for it to be delivered to a random address in Yeadon, according to the FBI and the Yeadon Police Department. 2 Teens Report Being Groped On NJ Transit Bus In Jersey City An investigation is underway after two teenage girls told police on Friday that they were both groped by the same boy on NJ Transit buses in Jersey City, authorities said. Winning $100K Powerball Ticket Sold In Philadelphia A Pennsylvania lottery ticket worth $100,000 was sold in Philadelphia this week. The Powerball ticket for the Monday, Dec. 13 drawing was sold at Sunoco on Ashton Road in Philadelphia, state lottery officials said. The ticket matched four of the five white balls drawn, 10-30-37-53-59, and the red Powerball 4 to win $100,000. Without the $1 Power Play option, the ticket would have been worth $50,000. Police Arrest 3 Chester County Middle School Students On Social Media Threat Charges Three middle students in Chester County arrested last week are facing social media threat charges, authorities said.
