Philly Labor Union Leader 'Johnny Doc' Resigns Amid Federal Corruption Case A labor union leader in Philadelphia resigned on Tuesday amid a federal corruption investigation, PennLive reports. One day after he and Philadelphia City Council member Bobby Henon were found guilty of conspiracy charges, John Dougherty, also known as "Johnny Doc," resigned from his position as business manager of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 98, the news outlet says. Kennett Square Police Officer Swiftly Rescues Driver After Crash Into Creek A Kennett Square police officer has been hailed as a hero for acting quickly to save a driver whose car had crashed into a creek Monday morning. Officer Mark Todd was the first on the scene of the crash along the 700 block of W. Cypress Street in Kennett Township just before 10 a.m., local police said.
