Man Shot Dead In Philly Police Shootout A 31-year-old man was shot dead in a Philadelphia police shootout Tuesday, authorities said. When two officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 5700 block of Overbrook Avenue around 3 p.m., they were met by a man armed with a handheld pickaxe and a hammer, according to police commissioner Danielle Outlaw. Car Slams Into Wall Of Lansdale Burger King A car slammed into the wall outside of a fast-food restaurant in Lansdale Monday, authorities said. Officers were called to 601 South Broad St. around 9:20 a.m., where they discovered a car had left the road and collided with the decorative wall in front of Burger King, according to the Lansdale Borough Police Department.
