PA State Police Searching For Driver Who Struck Cars, Fled In High-Speed Allentown Chase Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a driver who they say struck nine cars during a high-speed chase in Allentown last month. State police were conducting a detail with Allentown police from June 18 to June 19 when the incident occurred, authorities said. Troopers were stopped at a traffic light along Chew Street just after 1 a.m. on June 19 when they spotted a male driver in a black 2015 Nissan Altima traveling through a stop sign along Fourth Street, state police said. 'Person In Crisis' Rescued From Ledge Of Allentown Bridge Police in Lehigh County rescued a man apparently threatening to jump off the ledge of an Allentown bridge Monday night, authorities said. With help from the Allentown Fire Department, officers were able to convince the man to come back over the ledge of the 8th Street Bridge around 11 p.m., after nearly four hours on the scene, Allentown police said. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment, police said. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard was temporarily closed to eastbound and westbound traffic below the bridge. Crews Battling 2 Alarm Fire At Abandoned Home In Reading Discover Marijuana Grow Operation Crews battling a two-alarm fire at an abandoned home in Reading, also discovered a marijuana grow operation in a nearby damaged building Thursday night, authorities said. DA: Bucks Man Charged For Choking Girlfriend Unconscious At New Falls Motel A Bucks County man was arrested on various assault charges for choking his girlfriend to the point of unconsciousness at a motel in Fairless Hills Thursday, authorities said.
