Pottstown Fire Kills Family Of Three, Including Young Boy A heavy fire in Montgomery County early Monday took the lives of a mother, father, and their young son, authorities said. Fire crews initially rescued two people from a burning home in Pottstown in the area of East 5th Street around 2:30 a.m, according to Pottstown fire chief Frank Hand. Joseph Norton, 48, was pronounced dead at Pottstown Hospital from smoke and soot inhalation, officials with the Montgomery County coroner's office told 6abc. Shelter-In-Place Order Lifted Following Chlorine Leak In Downingtown A shelter-in-place order has been lifted Tuesday morning after a chlorine leak in the Johnsontown section of Downingtown (Chester County), authorities said. Fire crews responded around 4:30 a.m. to the Downingtown Sewer Plant on 550 Brandywine Ave., according to Downingtown police chief Howard Holland. Crews secured the leak and the order was cleared around 9:30 a.m., Holland said. Route 322 was temporarily shut down between Boot Road and Bradford Avenue, East Brandywine fire officials said. No further information was immediately available.

Philly Middle School Teacher Who Sexted Student Gets 15 Years In Prison A former Philadelphia middle school teacher was sentenced to 15 years in prison following the discovery of sexually explicit text conversations with his 12-year-old student in 2019, federal authorities said. Gunman Jumps From Philly SEPTA Train After Opening Fire On Board A man jumped to his death from a moving Philadelphia SEPTA train Monday morning after firing gunshots on board, according to a recent news report. The gunman struck a male victim in the abdomen and arm before heading towards the space between the train cars in an attempt to jump onto the tracks around 6:10 a.m. at the Arrott Transportation Center at Frankford and Arrott streets, 6abc reports. Lehigh County Man Hospitalized After Fireworks Explode In Pickup Truck A Lehigh County man is hospitalized after fireworks exploded inside his pickup truck Sunday night in Emmaus, reports say. The 35-year-old man is in critical condition after the explosion reportedly rocked the whole neighborhood on the 200 block of Green Street around 10 p.m., according to 69 News/WFMZ. Update: Missing Abington Twp. Man Found Safe Police in Montgomery County confirmed Tuesday that a man missing out of Abington Township since June 18 was found safe. Daniel Wright, 22, was found to be safe and in good health, Abington Township police announced on Facebook. "It was suggested that he contact his family members, who were concerned for his welfare," police said. Wright was located with the assistance of the PA State Police and Upper Macungie Police Departments.
