Firefighters Battle Rowhouse Blaze In Reading Firefighters battled a rowhouse blaze in Reading Monday evening, authorities said. Crews arrived at a home on Chesnut Street to find a 2.5 story house with fire showing on the second floor around 6 p.m., according to the Reading Fire Department. Crews extinguished the blaze by stretching a hose line through the front door, authorities said. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Office of the Fire Marshal.

One driver was left injured following a two-car crash that left traffic lights inoperable in Nether Providence Monday night, authorities said. Allentown Officer Hospitalized In Weekend Crash An Allentown officer was hospitalized over the weekend after his cruiser was struck by another car at an intersection, authorities said. The officer was struck by a driver who ran a red light while the cruiser was crossing the intersection of 4th and Linden Street around 6:00 a.m. Saturday, Allentown police said.
