3 People Hospitalized Following Two-Car Crash Near Philmont Train Station Three people were hospitalized following a two-car crash that occurred near the Philmont train station Sunday night, authorities said. Firefighters were dispatched at approximately 7:05 p.m. to the scene on Tomlinson Road in Huntingdon Valley where crews worked to extricate a person, according to Huntingdon Valley Fire Company. SEPTA halted all nearby trains due to the proximity of the cars to the tracks, authorities said. Three people were transported to a local hospital for treatment, authorities said.

Firefighters Knock Down South Media House Blaze Several people were hospitalized after a fire broke out in a South Media home Thursday morning, authorities said. Firefighters responded to the 600 Block of Markham Street to find that the blaze had spread to the second floor and left a person trapped, according to Garden City Fire Company. Fire crews were able to knock down the bulk of the fire while local police freed the trapped person, authorities said. Several people with smoke inhalation were taken to a local hospital for treatment, authorities said. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the local fire marshal.

Thomas Dies After 'Courageous' Battle With Cancer, 33 Doylestown mother of two Caitlin Erin Thomas (Farley) died on Feb. 25 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was 33. Born in Langhorne, Thomas graduated from Central Bucks High School South in 2005 and received her bachelor's degree from Delaware Valley University in 2009, as well as her Master's in Early Childhood Education from Walden University, her obituary says. Bensalem Firefighters Battle Tractor Trailer Blaze On Pennsylvania Turnpike Fire crews battled a blaze that broke out in a tractor-trailer Friday afternoon on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bensalem, authorities said. Firefighters arrived at the scene just before 12:30 p.m. to find a tractor-trailer engulfed in flames on the Pennsylvania Turnpike at Galloway Road near the back of Foley Cat Rental according to Bensalem Fire Rescue. The driver was able to escape the blaze with no injuries, authorities said. PA State Police shut down the eastbound lanes of the highway while firefighters extinguished the fire, authorities said.

The Powerball with Power Play ticket from the Wednesday, March 24 drawing was sold at Exxon Mart on East Wyomissing Avenue in Mohnton.
