Services Set For Sylvia Levine, Longtime Springfield Teacher Sylvia Levine, formerly of Springfield and Longmeadow, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, in Las Vegas. She was 93 years old.  Sylvia was born to Samuel Levine and Dinah Lifschitz on November 6, 1930, in Harlem, New York, and was their treasured only child. Yiddish was her first language, and she learned English as she transitioned into Kindergarten. On August 2, 1953, Sylvia married her husband, Theodore “Ted” Levine. Billerica Woman ID'd As Person Killed In NH Snowmobile Crash A 56-year-old Middlesex County woman was identified as the person who was killed in a snowmobile crash in New Hampshire on Tuesday, Jan. 23.  Stacey McGarry, of Billerica, was piloting the rented craft on Corridor 12 in the town of Berlin, New Hampshire, when she failed to make a right turn, hit a large rock, and was sent airborne, New Hampshire officials said. Sex Offender Admits To Child Porn Charges In Western Mass: Feds A Berkshire County registered sex offender has pleaded guilty to child porn and weapons charges, federal authorities said.  Brian Hohman, 60, of Sandisfield, admitted to one charge of possession of child pornography and one charge of receipt and possession of an unregistered firearm on Wednesday, Jan. 24, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said.
