Hit-Run Severely Injures Victim Near Hudson Valley Train Station: Suspect At Large, Police Say Authorities are searching for the driver of a vehicle that struck a victim near a Hudson Valley train station, leaving them severely injured. The incident happened in Putnam County on Sunday, Sept. 24 between 1:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. in Brewster, when a pedestrian was hit by a dark-colored sport utility vehicle traveling north on Railroad Avenue, according to New York State Police. The incident happened on Monday afternoon, Sept. 25 in Mount Vernon when a business on Gramatan Avenue received a bomb threat over a phone call, according to the city's Director of Communications Timothy Allen. Road Closure: Ramp Between Busy Parkways In Mount Vernon To Be Affected An overnight road closure is set to block access to a ramp between two parkways in Westchester. The ramp between the eastbound Cross County Parkway to the southbound Hutchinson River Parkway (Exit 9) in Mount Vernon will close between 11 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 25, and 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26, according to the New York State Department of Transportation. The closure will facilitate guide rail repairs, officials said. Motorists should follow the posted detour as an alternate route.

Transformer Fire Closes Part Of Busy Roadway In Hudson Valley: Developing A blaze has caused part of a busy Hudson Valley route to close in both directions. In Putnam County, Route 312 in the town of Southeast is closed to traffic in both directions at the intersection with Interstate 84 late Monday morning, Sept. 25, according to reports.  The closure was caused by a transformer fire in the area.
