'Slow-Moving' Pothole Repairs Jam Parkway In Paramus
A "slow-moving" pothole repair operation is expected to cause delays on the Garden State Parkway in Bergen County Thursday, Feb. 15, the state's transportation department said. The operation was underway in Paramus on the northbound side of the Parkway, near Exit 160, as of 10:30 a.m. Traffic cameras showed bumper-to-bumper backups. Man Killed By Car In Fairfax County
A man was struck and killed by a car early Thursday, Feb. 15 in Fairfax County, police said. The crash happened at Route 1 and Huntington Avenue in Belle Haven, police reported around 7:30 a.m. The man, a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene.

Pedestrian Accident Shuts Route 1
A crash involving a pedestrian closed Route 1 in South Jersey, the NJDOT said. The accident happened just before 7 p.m. 1 at Quaker Bridge Road, in Lawrence Township, bringing emergency response vehicles to the scene. Traffic camera footage shows major delays. All lanes were closed.

Guests at a Newark Airport hotel are being urged to take a bath instead of a shower as Legionnaire's bacteria was found in water samples. The Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel in a letter to guests said a "remediation process" is underway in cooperation with the New Jersey Department of Health and the City of Elizabeth Department of Health and Human Services. Shock and sadness spread following a snowmobile crash that left a 20-year-old York County man dead. York County Coroner Pamela Gay identified Newberry Township's Zachary Peiffer as the victim of the crash on Tuesday morning. Active Shooter Alert At PA Mall Was Complete Accident: Officials
An active shooter alarm was activated Wednesday, Feb. 14 at a Pennsylvania mall. And it was a complete accident, authorities said. The active shooter alarm was sent out to multiple employees at the Park City Center mall at 8 a.m., Lancaster police said. "A Park City staff member set off the automated alarm system and a message was sent out to multiple employees before it could be turned off," police said in a news release. "The Lancaster City Police can confirm that there was no active shooter incident and the Park City Center is open for business."
