Chimney Fire Prompts Emergency Response At Fox Lane HS Firefighters raced to a high school in Northern Westchester after receiving reports of a chimney fire. The incident happened on Monday morning, April 8, when crews from the Millwood Fire Department responded to a reported chimney fire at Fox Lane High School in Bedford.  According to the department, arriving crews soon discovered that the affected chimney was clogged and quickly worked to unclog it and return the situation to safety.  No injuries were reported.

Duo Nabbed After Fight At Pelham Intersection During Partial Eclipse, Police Say Two men were apprehended following a fight at a Westchester intersection that happened during the partial solar eclipse, police said. The incident happened on Monday, April 8 around 2:45 p.m., when a dispute began between two men in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Fifth Avenue in Pelham, according to the village's police department. Officers soon arrived at the scene and ended the fight before apprehending the two suspects, whose names were not released.  The incident is now under investigation. Police said there is no current threat to the public in connection with the dispute.

Lane Closures To Slow Traffic On Busy Route In Northern Westchester: Here's Where, When Motorists are being warned about a series of lane closures along a busy Northern Westchester road that will likely slow traffic.  One lane of Route 9A in both directions between Pleasantville Road in Mount Pleasant and Chappaqua Road in Briarcliff Manor will close on Tuesday, April 9, and Wednesday, April 10, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. The closures will last between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day, officials added. Officials said the closures would allow crews to perform guide rail repairs.
