2 Trapped Occupants Rescued From Crashed Car On I-287 In Purchase Two people were hospitalized after becoming trapped inside a flipped car following a crash on Interstate 287 in Westchester.  The incident happened on Sunday, Aug. 20 around 1:45 a.m., when emergency crews were sent to a crash on I-287 in Purchase in the area of mile marker 9.0, according to the Purchase Fire Department.  While on the way to the crash, state police confirmed that the response would require extricating the car's two occupants. Road Closure Alert: Route 119 In Elmsford To Be Affected Those who drive on Route 119 in Westchester should look out for an upcoming closure that will interrupt traffic on the roadway.  Route 119 in Elmsford will close in both directions between Vreeland Avenue and Undercliff Avenue on Monday, Aug. 21, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.  The closure will last from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. and will allow for bridge rehabilitation work.  Motorists should use the posted detour, officials said.
