String Of Drug Arrests: 5 Suspects Face Charges In Hudson Valley A total of five people face drug-related charges after authorities made arrests in three separate incidents in the Hudson Valley, police said. The five arrests were all made by the Narcotics Enforcement Unit in Putnam County and stemmed from three incidents on Tuesday, June 13, Wednesday, June 14, and Wednesday, May 31, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. Fire Leaves Residence Charred In White Plains A house fire in Westchester that left a residence heavily damaged proved to be a difficult battle for firefighters. The fire happened on Sunday, June 18 in White Plains at a residence located at 160 Concord Ave., where a heavy exterior fire spread into the interior of the building, according to White Plains Professional Fire Fighters IAFF Local 274. Part Of Busy Road To Be Named After Fallen Officer In Yorktown Part of a busy main road in Northern Westchester has been renamed by the New York State Legislature to honor the memory of a dedicated police officer who died at a young age after a sudden illness. Woman Attacks Man With Beer Can, Slams His Head Into Door Jam In Hudson Valley: Police A Hudson Valley woman faces assault charges after attacking a man with both a beer can and a knife, police said. Upcoming Lane Closures On I-684 Could Cause Delays In Bedford Motorists are being warned of a series of lane closures that will soon impact traffic on a busy roadway in the region. A series of single- and double-lane closures in Northern Westchester will affect Interstate 684 in both directions in Bedford between Exit 4 (State Route 172) and Exit 9 (Hardscrabble Road) beginning on Monday, June 19, according to the New York State Department of Transportation. The closures will occur on weeknights between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. until Friday, June 23. The lane closures are to allow for roadway work.

Erratic Driving: 23-Year-Old With Revoked License Nabbed In Yorktown, Police Say A 23-year-old man has landed in hot water after allegedly driving erratically on a main road in Northern Westchester while drunk with a revoked license, police said.
