Bomb Threat Made At Peekskill City Court: Prompts Evacuation A court in Northern Westchester was evacuated and searched following a bomb threat, police said. On Monday, Feb. 27, around 10:20 a.m., police were sent to Peekskill City Court after a report of a possible bomb threat that had been placed, according to Peekskill Police. Both Peekskill and New York State Court officers then evacuated the building, and K9 units with the Peekskill and Westchester County police departments commenced a sweep of the facility and surrounding area. 'Giving, Generous' Family Loses Home On Son's Birthday In Mohegan Lake A beloved family from Northern Westchester that lost their home in a fire and is known for often lending help to their community is now receiving an outpouring of support in return. The Palmiotto family lost their Mohegan Lake home on Mohegan Avenue in a fire that started on the night of Saturday, Feb. 25 around 7:30 p.m., the same day as their son's birthday.
