Somers Woman To Compete On Jeopardy! A woman from Northern Westchester will soon compete in an upcoming episode of Jeopardy! Somers resident Katie Palumbo, who works as a museum membership specialist, will appear on America's favorite quiz show in an episode airing on Monday, Jan. 16 on ABC, according to officials from the show.  The episode will air at 7 p.m.  In its 39th season, the show is now hosted by both Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik.  The episode with Palumbo will be hosted by Jennings.

Fight Inside Vehicle May Have Led To Shooting In Yonkers, Police Say Police are investigating a possible shooting incident that happened inside a vehicle near a McDonald's in Westchester County.  On Wednesday, Jan. 11 around 1:30 p.m., a dispute inside a vehicle in Yonkers in the area of the McDonald's located at 155 South Broadway (Route 9) may have resulted in a single gunshot being fired, Yonkers Police said.  A suspect is currently in custody and police are continuing to investigate.  There is no threat to the public, authorities added. Winning $3 Million Lottery Ticket Sold In Connecticut A lucky winner purchased a winning Mega Millions ticket at a gas station in Granby.  The winning ticket, valued at $3 million dollars, was purchased on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at the Cumberland Farms in Granby located at 19 Hartford Ave., according to the CT Lottery.  The name of the fortunate person who bought the ticket was not announced. Because the Mega Millions jackpot was not won though, it now stands at $1.35 billion for the next drawing, which will be held on the unlucky date of Friday, Jan. 13.
