11 Residents Of Senior Living Complex In Hospital After Fire In Yorktown A fire at a senior living complex in Northern Westchester sent 11 residents to a hospital and has displaced those living on an entire floor of a building, fire officials said. 'King Of Summer': Holocaust Survivor Who Worked At Camp For 71 Years From Rockland County Dies A man who escaped the Holocaust at a young age and went on to become a mainstay at a summer camp for more than 70 years has died. Rockland County resident Harry Vogel of Tappan died on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at the age of 87, according to his obituary. Born on Yom Kippur in Frankfurt, Germany in 1935, Vogel was the first son of Arthur Vogel, who was taken to Buchenwald concentration camp during the Holocaust. Police ID Man Who Died In House Fire In Somers Police have released the name of a 72-year-old man who died in a Northern Westchester house fire. Earlier Report - Man Found Dead After House Fire In Somers The victim is identified as Somers resident Richard Jordan, who died in a fire on Barlow Court on Monday, Dec. 26, according to state police. Trapped Driver Rescued From Car After Accident In Harrison One person is injured after they became trapped in their car following an accident in Westchester County, requiring them to be rescued. The accident happened on Tuesday, Dec. 27 around 8:45 p.m., in Harrison in the area of White Plains Avenue and High Street, according to the West Harrison Fire Department. Man Dies In Crash On Sprain Brook Parkway In Mount Pleasant: Police One person was killed after losing control of their vehicle and crossing into the opposite lane on a Northern Westchester highway, police said. On Tuesday, Dec. 27, a man driving a 2002 BMW 330I was traveling north on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant north of Bradhurst Avenue when they lost control and entered the southbound lanes, according to state police.
