Bensalem Police Rescue Unconscious House Fire Victim Police were being recognized in Bensalem for their unconventional assistance in a fire rescue Wednesday evening. Crews responded to a working fire call at the Bucks County Meadows Apartments on Knights Road just after 5 p.m., according to Bensalem Fire Rescue. Firefighters stretched two waterlines to the smoke-filled building, allowing the kitchen fire to be quickly extinguished, officials said. U.S Marshals Capture Delco Bowling Alley Shooting Suspect A man accused of firing shots at the mother of his child at a Delaware County bowling alley earlier this month was captured by members of the U.S Marshals Service in Philadelphia Tuesday, authorities said. Jamil D. Wynder, 28, is accused of firing multiple shots at his 24-year-old ex-girlfriend during an alleged child custody dispute outside Wynnewood Lanes on the 2200 block of Haverford Road in Ardmore around 10:20 p.m on Aug. 13, according to Haverford Township police. Authorities ID Man Killed In Newark Shooting Police have identified a man killed in a shooting in Newark Monday night, authorities said. Officers responding to a report of shots fired in the area of Spruce Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard just before 9 p.m. found Michael Rutledge, 34, laying on the sidewalk, according to Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. DA: Drunken Unlicensed Driver Sentenced In Bensalem Hit-Run Crash A 43-year-old unlicensed Bucks County driver on Wednesday pleaded guilty to a hit-and-run crash that left two pedestrians injured -- one seriously -- in Bensalem on New Year's Day, authorities said. Almondo Merjia, of Bensalem, was sentenced to 2.5 years to 5 years in state prison by President Judge Wallace H. DA: ChesCo Man Found Guilty Of Assault In Domestic Violence Incident Against Wife A 41-year-old Chester County man was found guilty of simple assault for physically assaulting his 35-year-old wife last year, authorities said. Officers responding to a domestic disturbance on Pierce Lane in Kennett Township on April 24, 2020, found the woman, who said her husband, Brian Thuer, "strangled her, then pushed her to the ground during an argument," according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office. Know Anything? New Hope Police Seek Wawa Hit-Run Driver Police in Bucks County are seeking the public's help identifying a man who they say was involved in a hit-and-run accident earlier this month. A silver SUV, unknown make and model, pulled out of the Wawa parking lot onto South Sugan Road and struck an orange 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe around 3 p.m. on Aug. 13, according to New Hope police. The silver SUV did not stop and continued south on South Sugan Road, police said. Philly Rapper PnB Rock Pleads Guilty To Drugs, Stolen Gun Charges In 2019 Bensalem Case A 29-year-old Philadelphia rapper pleaded guilty Monday to charges related to a 2019 arrest where Bensalem investigators found drugs, a stolen gun, and more during a search, authorities said. Rakim Hasheem Allen, who goes by the stage name PnB Rock, entered an open guilty plea to one count of possession with intent to deliver and one count of receiving stolen property, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office. PA Home Health Care Aide Busted Stealing From Patients, Authorities Say A Pennsylvania home health aide turned herself in over a year after authorities found she stole products from her patient to sell them, authorities said. The victim found several tools missing from his garage on June 28, 2020, Lower Pottsgrove police said. Brandy Darrow, 44, resigned as the home health aide after being confronted about the thefts, police said. Darrow and another male suspect were spotted on video surveillance at Cash Converters pawning the stolen tools worth $5,000, authorities said. MA Woman Pulling Car Door Handles Busted With Firearm, Police In Bucks County Say A 39-year-old Massachusetts woman accused of pulling on car door handles was arrested after she was found with a firearm in Bucks County, authorities said.
