Ramp Between I-87, Saw Mill River Parkway To Close For 3 Weeks In Elmsford Motorists in Westchester are being warned of a closure that will block access to a ramp between Interstate 87 and a busy parkway for three weeks. The ramp between I-87 to Exit 8A (northbound Saw Mill River Parkway) in the village of Elmsford will be closed beginning on Monday, Nov. 27 at 10 a.m., the New York State Department of Transportation announced. The ramp will not reopen until Friday, Dec. 15 at 4 p.m., officials said. The closure is to allow for ramp maintenance. Affected travelers should use the posted detour to Route 119 as an alternate route.

K9 Helps Sniff Out Kilogram Of Cocaine During North Castle Traffic Stop: Police A 25-year-old Connecticut man faces drug charges after authorities found him in possession of a kilogram of cocaine during a Northern Westchester traffic stop, police announced. Yonkers Man Arrested While In Jail For Violating Order Of Protection A 38-year-old inmate from Westchester was arrested inside a Hudson Valley jail after placing phone calls to someone he shouldn't have, police announced. Yonkers resident Isaiah Walker was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 21 while incarcerated at the Dutchess County Jail, the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office announced. Child Porn Arrest: Man Traded Videos, Photos Online In Hudson Valley, DA Says A Hudson Valley man has been accused of trading videos and photos of child pornography over the internet, officials announced. Orange County resident James Harris, of Goshen, age 71, was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 21 in connection with a child pornography investigation, Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler announced. Red Fox Stops By New Canaan Home: They 'Need Not Be Feared,' Officials Say A red fox made a surprise visit to a Fairfield County home as the homeowner's cat watched while safely indoors. The visit happened at a New Canaan home on Tuesday, Nov. 21.
