Fallen Telephone Pole, Low Wires Close Route 172 In Mount Kisco A fallen telephone pole is causing authorities to divert traffic from a busy main road in Northern Westchester. South Bedford Road (Route 172) in Mount Kisco was closed to traffic on Tuesday, May 16 because of low-hanging power lines caused by the fallen pole, Westchester County Police announced around 4 p.m. The pole fell in the area of the Northern Westchester Professional Park located at 103-105 South Bedford Road. Car Crashes Into Brook, Leaks Fluid In South Windsor Authorities are cleaning up a brook in Hartford County after a car crashed into it and contaminated it with fluid. The incident happened in South Windsor on Tuesday, May 16, when a car veered off of Frazer Fir Road and into a small brook, according to the South Windsor Fire Department. The driver suffered minor injuries, fire officials said, adding that no one else was in the car. The fire department helped a wrecker service remove the car from the brook.
