Car Crash Injures Person, Forces Trunk Door Open In Hudson Valley One person was injured after crashing their car in the Hudson Valley.  The one-car crash happened on Monday, Feb. 20 around 10:40 a.m., when firefighters in Carmel responded to Westshore Drive (Route 38) in the area of Farview Road.  After arriving at the scene of the crash, officials closed the road for around 20 minutes until the damaged vehicle, which had its trunk door popped open, was able to be towed away.  The occupant of the vehicle suffered minor injuries, according to the Mahopac Fire Department.

Injured Man Found In Park Dies In Yonkers, Police Investigating A young man was discovered with critical injuries in a public park in Westchester before later dying of his wounds, prompting a police investigation.  The incident happened in Yonkers on Tuesday, Feb. 21, when a man in his late 20s or early 30s was found alone in Grant Park with life-threatening injuries around 8:10 a.m., according to Detective Lt. Dean Politopoulos.  First responders then gave the man medical aid before he was taken to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.  An investigation into the unnamed man's death is now ongoing. Car Flips Over, Slams Into Pole In Croton-On-Hudson, Leaving Driver Injured A driver was left injured after a car overturned and crashed into a utility pole in Northern Westchester.  The incident happened on Thursday, Feb. 16 around 6 p.m., when a vehicle traveling in Croton-on-Hudson Old Post Road South flipped over and hit a pole on Nordica Drive, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.  Firefighters and police then descended upon the scene to help the injured driver escape the vehicle.  After the occupant was turned over to first responders, firefighters waited for Con Edison to fix the pole, which took about 90 minutes.

Lane Closures: Hutchinson River Parkway In Harrison To Be Affected For More Than Month An upcoming lane closure will affect traffic on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Westchester County for over a month.  One lane of the northbound Hutchinson River Parkway between Exit 13 (Mamaroneck Avenue) in Scarsdale and Exit 14 (Route 127) in Harrison will close on weekdays beginning on Monday, Feb. 20, according to the New York Department of Transportation.  The closure will last between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on weekdays through Friday, March 24. The lane closure is to facilitate construction work.
