Duo Charged In 2 Separate Shootings In Yonkers: Police Two men have been charged in relation to two separate shootings that left multiple people with gunshot wounds, police said. Both shootings happened in Yonkers, with one occurring on Friday, Jan. 20 on Saint Joseph Avenue, and one occurring on Tuesday, Jan. 24 on Beaumont Circle, according to Yonkers Police. Both shootings left victims with non-life-threatening injuries. Trench Collapse Death: CT Contractor Must Pay Over $375K In Osha Fines A Manchester-based contractor faces over $375,000 in penalties for failing to protect a worker who died in a trench collapse on a construction site. The penalty was assigned to Botticello Inc. in connection to the July 22, 2022 death of East Windsor resident Dennis Slater, age 56, who was buried when an eight-foot-deep trench caved in at a Vernon residential development construction site, the US Department of Labor announced on Monday, Jan. 30. 'The Blacklist' Filming In Port Chester: Will Cause Road Closures, Limited Access To Area A busy road in Westchester County will have limited access as crews film scenes for an upcoming episode of the popular television show "The Blacklist." Filming for the hit NBC show will take place on Monday, Jan. 30 in Port Chester on Irving Avenue, according to village officials. Vehicle Blaze Leaves Car Seared On Busy Yorktown Road Firefighters were called to put out a raging vehicle fire on a main road in Northern Westchester. The fire happened on Sunday, Jan. 29 around 1:50 p.m., when firefighters in Yorktown responded to the intersection of Crompond Road (Route 202) and the Taconic State Parkway northbound exit ramp to put out the blaze. Just under two dozen firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire, which left the vehicle heavily damaged and burned. Luckily, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Earlier Report - Person Struck By Train: Metro-North Service Resumes With Delays In Peekskill The incident happened on Monday, Jan. 30 around 6 a.m. in Peekskill at the Hudson Avenue crossing, Metro-North officials said. Man Who Threw Fentanyl Out Window In CT Admits To Distributing Narcotics After an attempt to get rid of the evidence by throwing it out the window, a New Britain man has admitted to possessing and distributing narcotics.
