Fall From Scaffolding Collapse Sends 2 Men To Hospital In Hudson Valley A helicopter had to rush a man to the hospital after a scaffolding collapse caused him and another person to fall in the Hudson Valley. The collapse happened on Tuesday, Jan. 17 around 3:30 p.m., when Putnam County emergency responders were sent to the Lake Secor area of Mahopac Falls to help the two injured men, according to the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department. Seen Them? Duo Steals Wallet At Mohegan Lake Walmart, Police Say Police are looking for two suspects who they say stole a wallet at a Walmart in Northern Westchester. The wallet, which contained financial cards, personal ID including a passport, and cash, was stolen at the Walmart in Mohegan Lake at 3133 East Main St. (Route 6) on Sunday, Dec. 18, according to an announcement by state police from Wednesday, Jan. 18. Driver Dies After Tractor-Trailer Falls, Lands On I-287 at I-684 Interchange In Harrison This story has been updated. One person was killed after a tractor-trailer flipped over a guardrail on an exit ramp and landed on I-287 in Westchester County. Eversource Warns Of 'Deceitful' Scams Targeting Utility Customers Eversource is advising its customers in Connecticut to not become victims of scammers who are attempting to use scare tactics to steal money. To do this, the scammers will pose as Eversource representatives and will target customers over the phone, in person, or online, the company said in a statement on Tuesday, Jan. 17. Teen Duo Charged After Violent, Public Shootout In Yonkers, Police Say Two teens are facing multiple charges after they exchanged gunfire on a public street in Westchester County, police said. The shootout happened on Wednesday, Dec. 28 around 8:30 p.m., when police in Yonkers responded to Garfield Street where they found one of the teens with a gunshot wound to his leg. Multi-Vehicle Crash Causes Injuries In Croton Falls A multi-vehicle accident caused injuries in Northern Westchester and heavy damage to two vehicles. The accident happened on Sunday, Jan. 15 around 9 p.m. in Croton Falls on Stoneleigh Avenue near the Putnam County line, according to the Croton Falls Fire Department. The drivers of the vehicles were injured and their vehicles were damaged, with one car losing a wheel and another nearly slamming into a fence after leaving the road. Eventually, the vehicles were towed away and the scene was cleared within a half hour, firefighters said.

Hartford Man Caught After Kidnapping Victim Out Of State, Police Say A Hartford man is facing charges after he was caught in Connecticut following his kidnapping of an adult victim in Springfield, police said. Woman Falls 25 Feet Into River In Torrington, Saved By Firefighters Firefighters were able to pull off a daring rescue after a woman fell 25 feet off a bridge in Torrington. The incident happened on Monday afternoon, Jan. 16 when a woman fell off a bridge on Norfolk Road (Route 272) into a river near the Reuben Hart Reservoir, according to the Torrington Fire Department. Driver Severely Burned In Vehicle Fire In Somers A driver was sent to the hospital with burns after a vehicle fire in Northern Westchester. The blaze happened on Sunday, Jan. 15 around 4:50 p.m. in Somers on Nymph Drive near Lake Lincolndale, where a car caught on fire, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department.
