New Chick-Fil-A Coming To Yonkers, First In Westchester County The first Chick-fil-A location in Westchester County has been approved to open soon. The fast-food eatery will open in Yonkers at the intersection of 2205 Central Park Ave. (Route 100) and 10 Roxbury Dr., and was approved by the city's planning board during their meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 11. The restaurant, known for its chicken sandwiches, will have a drive-thru and outdoor seating. Driver Severely Burned In Vehicle Fire In Somers A driver was sent to the hospital with burns after a vehicle fire in Northern Westchester. The blaze happened on Sunday, Jan. 15 around 4:50 p.m. in Somers on Nymph Drive near Lake Lincolndale, where a car caught on fire, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department. Luckily, the fire was out of range of any buildings. Firefighters were able to quickly put the flames out after hosing it down, but not before the driver suffered burns as a result. 3-Year Bridge Replacement Over I-95 To Snag Traffic In New Rochelle A three-year project to replace a bridge over I-95 in Westchester County will cause various delays and closures until it is completed. The project, which will cost $31.8 million, will replace the 65-year-old North Avenue Bridge in New Rochelle that travels over I-95, according to the New York Thruway Authority.
