Person Hospitalized After Hitting Deer On Busy Road In Croton-On-Hudson A serious crash involving a deer resulted in both a person being hospitalized and the brief closure of a busy Northern Westchester road. The incident happened on Thursday, Nov. 23 around 8:30 p.m., when a car struck a deer on the Croton Point overpass on southbound Route 9 in Croton-on-Hudson, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department. Overnight Closure: Ramp Between Cross County, Bronx River Parkways In Yonkers To Be Affected Motorists are being warned that a ramp connecting two busy parkways in Westchester will be subject to an overnight closure. The ramp from the westbound Cross County Parkway to the northbound Bronx River Parkway (Exit 6) in Yonkers will close on Monday, Nov. 27 at 11 p.m., the New York State Department of Transportation announced. The ramp will then reopen at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, officials said. The closure is to allow for ramp maintenance. Motorists should use the posted detour as an alternate route.

Ramp Between I-87, Saw Mill River Parkway To Close For 3 Weeks In Elmsford Motorists in Westchester are being warned of a closure that will block access to a ramp between Interstate 87 and a busy parkway for three weeks. The ramp between I-87 to Exit 8A (northbound Saw Mill River Parkway) in the village of Elmsford will be closed beginning on Monday, Nov. 27 at 10 a.m., the New York State Department of Transportation announced. The ramp will not reopen until Friday, Dec. 15 at 4 p.m., officials said. The closure is to allow for ramp maintenance.
